Hoffman Challenge

I just received my ribbon and ✅. My quilt The Regal Tetrahymana won thirdd place in the Hoffman Challenge. Tetrahymana is a protazoa found in pond scum and the labs of Nobel winning scientists; Elizabeth Blackburn, Carol Greider and Jack Szostak (2009).  Tetrahymana is a true gem in the lab.  This single cell organism has been aiding in scientific discoveries since it was first cultured in 1923 and the potential to learn from it still seems endless.

  1. Wow Amy! I'm so impressed with your artful creations and subject matter! Your homage to the mind blowing DNA research due to the wealth of information made possible through studies with the invaluably complicated, unbelievably amazing unicellular Tetrahymena thermophila is stunningly expressive! Well deserved Congratulations!!!
